Do Things the Difficult Way
Today we are kicking off the video with a mental exercise to help you focus. We know that emergency calls can be hours of boredom broken up my one harrowing call. So, what do you do in those hours of boredom to keep you mind sharp and focused? Today we want to challenge you to try things the hard way. When we challenge our brains to do things the hard way it helps the brain sharpen and focus on the task at hand. Some ways you could do this, doodle with the hand you normally do not write with, text with only your non-dominant hand, walk backwards when going to get food or going to the restroom, use chopsticks instead of a fork or spoon. You may feel funny but this will help stimulate your brain to more activity and keep you sharp for the next crisis that comes your way.
